Kate's LifeThe night was colder then usual, the air heavier. A shallow breathe, and the loud clinging of foot steps against a hard, cold marble floor. A young girl made her way to her mother’s bedroom. As she pushed the doors aside, she saw a site that made her shake. She saw her father hitting her mother. She watched as her mother fell to the hard ground motionless. Tears were let out of her fear stricken eyes. Her father turned to see her standing there and yelled, “Kate”!
